Possible Finding of No Significant Public Interest Value at Auberry Service Center Planning Unit

41 acres of land within one parcel at the Auberry Service Center and a conservation easement to be held by the Sierra Foothills Conservancy is likely to be approved by the Stewardship Council Board in 2017. However, 9.5 acres of the Auberry Service Center parcel are being considered for a finding of no significant public interest value (NSPIV). If the Stewardship Council Board approves this finding, the 9.5 acres will not be encumbered by a conservation easement.

The proposed finding of no significant public interest value to exclude the 9.5 acre service center from a conservation easement will be considered for possible approval by the Stewardship Council’s Board of Directors at its meeting on January 25, 2017. The Board will review public comments before taking a vote. The meeting will be held at the Sacramento Public Library, 828 I Street, Sacramento, CA, beginning at 1:00 pm. The meeting agenda will be posted on our web site on January 18, 2017, one week prior to the meeting.

Comments regarding this proposed finding may be submitted in advance of the meeting by email to:info@stewardshipcouncil.org. There will also be an opportunity for public comment at the board meeting. Please contact LaurenFaccintoat 916-297-6664 with questions or concerns.
