Draft Land Conservation and Conveyance Plan - Tunnel Reservoir (Lands to be donated to CAL FIRE)
The Stewardship Council has issued the draft Land Conservation and Conveyance Plan (LCCP) for a portion of the Pit River and Tunnel Reservoir planning units for public review and comment. Comments must be submitted in writing and postmarked or emailed no later than 5:00 pm on August 27, 2018.

At its November 16, 2011 meeting, the Stewardship Council Board of Directors recommended the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as the prospective fee title donee for approximately 1,796 acres of land the Tunnel Reservoir planning unit, located in Shasta County.

At its January 22, 2015 meeting, the board recommended theShasta Land Trust as the prospective conservation easement holder on the property.
Land Stewardship Proposals
On May 31, 2011 the Stewardship Council received three land stewardship proposals from organizations interested in being considered for a donation of fee title to certain lands located within the Tunnel Reservoir planning unit.
The US Bureau of Land Management, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, and the University of California prepared and submitted proposals.
The respective organizations prepared the information and statements in these proposals and are responsible for the information contained therein.
Proposals are presented as is, and the Stewardship Council does not make any assertion regarding the accuracy or completeness of information presented, nor do the proposals necessarily reflect the views of the Stewardship Council.
The Stewardship Council fully reviewed and considered the proposals before recommending any organizations for donation of fee title to lands within the Tunnel Reservoir planning unit.
Please note that the Land Stewardship Proposals submitted by CAL FIRE and the Bureau of Land Management linked below concern several planning units, including the Tunnel Reservoir planning unit.
