Listening Sessions
In 2004-05, the Stewardship Council conducted community listening sessions to help us understand the issues affecting today's youth and to identify the barriers that keep them from getting outside. These sessions helped to form the priorities and direction of the Stewardship Council’s giving program. In 2007, we held another round of listening sessions to help update us on these issues.
The Listening Sessions were an opportunity for community members to express their opinion and for Stewardship Council staff to listen and discuss how you see the world of outdoor education. Listening sessions were held in Fresno and Sacramento. The sessions confirmed that we are on the right track and that we should continue with our efforts as designed for 2008.
Stewardship Council looks forward to continuing to engage with the community on our efforts to connect California’s youth with the outdoors.
